Good To Be Green:

My first Green Screen experience.

Whilst studying A Level Media I had the chance to work with a green screen. As a class we set up the green screen in our class room and worked as a production team to create each of our final assessed projects. We worked well together and it was great to learn how to effectively use the green screen, lighting and editing software. Working with a green screen would definitely be something I'd be interested in doing more of as I gain more experience in the media industry.

During editing I learnt some technical skills on Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. This was an exciting learning curve for me as I enjoy Post Production and hope to work in editing in the future. I made a shatter graph in After Effects that when transferred to Premiere looked as though our character was smashing The Houses of Parliament with his fist. I was proud of how I managed to create these effects and really enjoyed the experience of teaching myself these skills.

From this experience I learnt how to key a green screen successively however, if I'd had more time on this project I would've used Masks in After Effects to make the edit look smoother. Due to this I would like to work on another green screen project where I could work in a more advanced environment.
