Lights, Camera, Action:
A story of Live TV.
Over the last 8 weeks, I was a part of a team working in the Parkside building TV Studio aiming to create a 15 minute live tv show. Before I started this process I had no previous experience within a studio setting and was incredibly overwhelmed by the technology and pressurised nature of live tv. Through this opportunity I have not only learnt how to manage this equipment and situation in a professional manor but also thoroughly enjoyed the process and realised I would like more experiences with live tv.

The Sam Speed Show.
At the end of the 8 weeks we recorded our show, having designed the set and graphics, written the script and planned the running order. This was an incredibly exciting experience and I'm proud of what we achieved as a group and what I learnt through the duration of this opportunity. Through this experience I've learnt how to communicate precisely through the talkback system as this was essential to the recording process. I also gained experience of working within a team in a stressful environment and remaining calm when faced with challenges in a live situation.
